Gastronorm 18/10

Home ground for every home cook: you prep for a big dinner party, you start chopping, pickling, smoking, and suddenly every bowl in the house is full. Every mug too. Nobody ever told you about gastronorms.

These are the containers restaurant kitchens run on. This one is 18/10 stainless steel, like our pans and pots but thinner, so it does not pick up odours from whatever you store in it. And if your other half complains about space, tell them to find a different excuse. They stack inside one another and take up as little room as possible. Use them once, hooked for life.

The LADJA team uses it for:

• Food waste, right on the counter while we prep
• Storing all the chopped veggies before we start cooking
• Smoking things, with some plastic wrap over the top
• Resting meat, wrapped in aluminium foil

"Can I cook in them?" They are oven safe, but we do not recommend actual cooking in them. Use them to keep things warm in the oven at low temperatures.
